CORE INVESTMENTS We usually take a lead or co-lead role in our core investment activities – Real Estate Development, Restaurant Companies, and Niche Retailers. We believe that we have the experience and the skill set that are needed to make the most of things in these sectors. SPECIAL SITUATIONS In addition to our core investments, KFE has taken an active role in several "special situation" investments over the years. These are investment opportunities that lie outside our normal focus, but where our experience enables us to add value to a wide range of industries – including consumer finance, aerospace parts manufacturing, waste management, forestry, infrastructure technology, education and many others.
